Building Tomorrow’s Anglers and Conservation Leaders
At Capital Bass Academy, bass fishing isn’t just a pastime—it’s a pathway to growth. Through tournament-style training, teens build confidence, discipline, and patience, while also learning the importance of conservation and stewardship.
Based in the heart of Washington, DC, we offer premier bass fishing lessons for youth ages 13–16, blending expert coaching with hands-on learning on the Potomac River and other top regional waters. Our mission is simple: to transform passionate young anglers into skilled, competitive bass fishermen ready for success on and off the water.
Our Story: From Camp to Competitive Excellence
Capital Bass Academy was born from the success of the Kids Fishing Club Summer Camp, where we discovered what truly works: small class sizes, expert instruction, safety-first protocols, and a passion for teaching the art and science of bass fishing. We watched hesitant beginners transform into confident anglers, gaining not only fishing skills but life skills that carried beyond the water.
Building on that foundation, we launched Capital Bass Academy to create a premium youth fishing program in Washington DC, specifically designed for teenagers who are serious about mastering bass fishing at a competitive, tournament-ready level.
